Onion Beef Mince (洋蔥牛絞肉)
Ingredients:
1kg beef mince (10% fat, best)
1 medium onion
15g butter (skip if your mince is 20% fat)
5 Tbsp (75g) soy sauce
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 Tbsp black pepper
Methods:
1. Preparing the ingredients: Chop your onion into small pieces.
2. Cooking beef mince: Heat a pan over high heat. Pop the beef mince in and cook until no excessive liquid in the pot.
3. Cooking onions: Move the beef to the other side. Add butter and onions. Cook over medium heat until your onions are translucent.
4. Seasoning: Stir fry everything for 1 minute. Add sugar, black pepper and soy sauce. Stir fry for 1 - 2 minutes.
5. Simering: Add water to just under the mince. When it's boiling, continue cooking covered over low heat for 10 minutes.
