Ingredients:
900g Sweet potatoes (white/purple flesh for the best result)
500g Brown sugar
50 - 100g water
1/2 Lemnon
a pinch of salt
Methods:
1. Preparing sweet potatoes: peel the sweet potatoes and shape them into 10 cm long and 3 cm wide pieces.
2. Cook brown sugar syrup: Cook brown sugar with a small amount of water (50 - 100g) until brown sugar melted. You can stir occasionally to help.
3. Cook sweet potatoes: Add your sweet potatoes. Cook them over low heat. The sweet potatoes will release liquid while being cooked, and the released liquid should cover all the sweet potatoes. If not, add water until sweet potatoes are covered. Cook until your sweet potatoes are fully cooked and the syrup thickens (About 30 minutes).
4. Serve: wait for the sweet potato to cool down a bit before move them out of the pot. You can put them in the fridge overnight for the best experience.
